Child Safety Standards
1. Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
Pheels explicitly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form. Prohibited conduct and content includes, without limitation: child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexualization of minors, grooming, sextortion, child trafficking, minor self-generated sexual content, and any attempt to solicit, produce, share, promote, request, advertise, or facilitate such material or conduct. Any account engaging in CSAE is permanently removed from Pheels. Content and account data are preserved and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other applicable authorities.
2. Age requirements
Pheels is intended for users aged 13 and over (or the minimum digital consent age in the user's jurisdiction, whichever is higher). Live streaming, monetization, payouts, marketplace selling, and age-restricted content require users to be 18 or older and, where applicable, identity verified. Accounts found to belong to underage users are removed.
3. In-app reporting mechanism for user feedback
Every Pheels user can report accounts, posts, comments, messages, live streams, and listings from inside the app:
- Open the “…” menu on any profile, post, comment, message, or listing.
- Select Report.
- Choose Child safety / CSAE as the reason and add any additional detail.
Child safety reports are routed immediately to a dedicated, prioritized child safety queue in our moderation system. They are triaged ahead of all other report types, and the reported content is restricted from view while under review.
4. How we address CSAM
- Suspected CSAM is removed and the associated account suspended immediately upon detection or credible report.
- Evidence and account records are preserved for law enforcement.
- Confirmed cases are reported to the NCMEC CyberTipline and, where required, to local authorities.
- Offending users are permanently banned and we take reasonable steps to prevent re-registration.
- Child safety reports are reviewed on a priority basis, targeting review within 24 hours.
5. Child safety point of contact
Designated child safety contact for regulators, platforms, law enforcement, and the public:
- Pheels Child Safety Team — pheelsph@gmail.com
- General support — support@pheels.com
- Report directly to NCMEC — report.cybertip.org
6. Compliance with child safety laws
Pheels complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where the app is available, including U.S. reporting obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy, and Apple App Store guidelines. These standards are reviewed and updated regularly.
